If you want to protect your home while adding timeless curb appeal, metal roofing panels and trim are one of the smartest investments you can make. The Paxton Collection from Helix Metalforming offers a high-performance line of metal crown moulding that both enhances and protects your roofline. Unlike wood or PVC trim that fades, cracks, or needs constant upkeep, this architectural sheet metal system delivers the classic look of traditional moulding without the maintenance.
Traditional wood crown moulding requires frequent staining or painting, and PVC options typically come in limited white finishes. The Paxton Collection solves both problems, offering durable crown moulding available in four premium metals—copper, zinc, aluminum, and steel—and over 40 rich color options. Designed to mount directly to your wall or soffit, Paxton creates a clean, weather-tight transition between your roof and siding.
Beyond its good looks, the Paxton Collection metal crown moulding also helps:
- Seal vulnerable roof-to-wall joints
- Direct water runoff away from the structure
- Prevent leaks and long-term moisture damage
These benefits make it a practical and stylish choice for homes across Philadelphia’s diverse architecture—from historic row homes to modern renovations—while standing up to the city’s ever-changing weather.
The P1 Profile — Refined, Durable, and Designed for Modern Living
The P1 Profile, part of the Paxton Collection, is roll-formed from premium metal and available in lengths up to 20 feet for a seamless, custom fit. Its 1¾-inch relief depth provides a subtle, refined accent to the roofline—perfect for homeowners who want a sophisticated finish without overwhelming their home’s proportions.
Fitting neatly over a standard 2×6 under the eave, the P1 Profile is ideal for one- and two-story homes looking to add a touch of luxury and class. Whether installed as a Wall Mount or Soffit Mount, it delivers precise performance, visual balance, and long-lasting appeal.
Each P1 Profile is finished with a high-performance PVDF coating that keeps color and gloss intact for decades—resisting peeling, fading, and chalking through Philadelphia’s hot summers, icy winters, and rainy seasons. With more than 40 available colors and finishes, homeowners can perfectly match their existing roofing panels or choose a bold contrast to enhance curb appeal.
Built to Last, Designed to Impress
As part of Helix Metalforming’s fully integrated architectural sheet metal system, the P1 Profile pairs effortlessly with matching roofing panels, soffit mounts, and accessories. The result is a cohesive, high-end exterior built to withstand decades of use.
When you choose Helix Metalforming, you’re not just buying a product—you’re investing in custom fabrication, expert craftsmanship, and local service backed by a reputation for quality that homeowners and contractors throughout Philadelphia trust.

For architects, builders, and roofing contractors across Philadelphia, selecting the right roofing system is key to achieving long-term performance, aesthetic appeal, and weather resistance. When it comes to architectural sheetmetal, few options deliver the value, durability, and versatility of metal roofing panels. Compared to traditional asphalt shingles that can warp, fade, or deteriorate over time, sheetmetal roofing offers a refined, low-maintenance solution built for strength and style.
Built for Philadelphia’s Four Seasons
Philadelphia’s weather is anything but predictable—sweltering summers, heavy rains, and freezing winters can quickly wear down conventional roofing materials. Architectural sheetmetal panels, however, are engineered to withstand these extreme conditions year after year. Their interlocking seams and durable coatings protect buildings from moisture intrusion, high winds, and temperature swings, making them a smart investment for both residential and commercial projects.

METALCON 2025 once again brought together the innovators, builders, manufacturers, and leaders shaping the metal construction industry—and this year’s show in Las Vegas made one thing clear: the future of metal construction is accelerating.
From the moment the doors opened, the energy on the show floor reflected an industry that is evolving rapidly. New technologies, advanced installation methods, and higher performance standards were front and center. For the Helix team, the week was not just about reconnecting with partners and customers—it was about contributing to the conversations that will define where metal construction goes next.
Advancing Craftsmanship and Installation Standards
The momentum began on Day One with our session, “Advanced Techniques in Metalforming.” We transported a nearly life-sized mockup into our training room to give attendees a hands-on look at substrate preparation, underlayment strategy, fastener selection, and detailed installation techniques—including crown moulding and Greek cornice returns.
The strong turnout and engagement underscored a larger industry trend: contractors and fabricators are raising the bar. As metal systems become more architecturally complex and widely specified, precision and advanced skillsets are becoming essential. Education and live demonstrations like these are helping move the industry toward higher quality standards and longer-lasting installations.
Collaboration Driving Innovation
Throughout the week, conversations with partners such as Drexel Metals, elZinc, and Stortz Tools reinforced how collaborative innovation is shaping the next generation of metal construction. From product engineering to fabrication tools, manufacturers are responding to increased demand for performance, sustainability, and design flexibility.
Seeing our Rhapsody Farms project featured on the Drexel Metals “Wall of Fame” was not just an exciting moment—it reflected how architectural metal continues to push creative boundaries. Today’s projects demand both durability and design sophistication, and METALCON 2025 showcased how manufacturers and contractors are rising to that challenge together.
The announcement of the Top Product Awards added to the excitement and highlighted the pace at which new solutions are entering the market. Innovation is no longer incremental—it is strategic, performance-driven, and future-focused.
A Growing Emphasis on Sustainability and Longevity
Across sessions and booth conversations, sustainability remained a central theme. From recyclable materials to energy-efficient metal systems, the industry is increasingly aligning with long-term environmental responsibility. Developers and contractors alike are seeking materials that offer durability, lower lifecycle costs, and reduced environmental impact—areas where metal continues to lead.
METALCON 2025 made it clear that metal is not simply an alternative building material; it is becoming a preferred solution for forward-thinking projects nationwide.
Strengthening the Industry Community
Beyond products and technology, the show reinforced something equally important: the strength of the metal construction community. Conversations with industry leaders from JR and Co., Bigfoot Exteriors, Frog Roofing, and many others reflected a shared commitment to growth, craftsmanship, and pushing the trade forward.
Events, dinners, and even late-night views of the Vegas skyline provided opportunities to build relationships that will fuel collaboration long after the show floor closed. Strong partnerships remain one of the most powerful drivers of industry advancement.
Looking Ahead
As METALCON 2025 wrapped up, one takeaway stood out: the future of metal construction is being built on education, innovation, sustainability, and collaboration.
The ideas shared, the products unveiled, and the partnerships strengthened in Las Vegas will influence projects in the months and years ahead. For Helix, the show was both a celebration of how far the industry has come and a clear signal of where it is headed.
We are grateful to the METALCON team—including Kalyn Burke, Amanda Carlow, Mark Swagerty, and Judy Geller—for delivering another exceptional event, and to everyone who took the time to connect with us.

Helix Metalforming had a fantastic experience at this year’s AIA Conference on Architecture and Design, held from June 4 to 7 in Boston. As the premier event for the architecture and design industry, AIA25 brought together architects, designers, manufacturers, and thought leaders from around the country for four days of education, innovation, and connection. Helix was proud to be part of it all.
With a booth presence during the two-day expo (June 5–6), Helix welcomed attendees to Booth #1837, where we offered a hands-on look at our architectural wall panels, edge metal solutions, and high-performance fabrication capabilities. We were especially excited to share The Paxton Collection, our latest line of products designed to meet the needs of both form and function. Whether guests were exploring new materials or asking about color durability and custom detailing, our team was ready to answer questions, offer guidance, and spark ideas.
Let’s not forget the fun along the way. On Wednesday night, the Helix team caught a thrilling Red Sox game at Fenway Park. The home team pulled off a dramatic 9th-inning comeback with a walk-off homer, giving us an unforgettable moment during our time in Boston. Check out the game recap here.
Another highlight of the event? The Puppy Park is located just one row away from our booth in the 1700s section of the exhibit hall. These adorable pups brought smiles to everyone who stopped by and added a lighthearted energy to the floor. It was yet another great reason to swing by the Helix booth and say hello!
Of course, AIA25 wasn’t just about fun; it was also a chance to explore serious innovation. With over 600 exhibiting brands, the show floor was full of exciting new products, technologies, and bold design ideas. We saw emerging trends, such as textured surfaces, sustainable finishes, and expressive detailing, take center stage, and Helix was proud to be part of that momentum.
Our metal systems directly address what the industry demands: performance, resilience, and design freedom.
Beyond the booth, the AIA Conference featured an impressive lineup of keynote speakers, expert-led sessions, and panel discussions on a wide range of topics, from high-performance envelopes to sustainable sourcing. These conversations reinforced the Helix mission: to provide you with architectural solutions that last, perform, and elevate design at every level.
Throughout the week, we connected with architects, designers, and industry leaders who were excited to collaborate. From offering product samples to discussing project support, those conversations are continuing, and we look forward to seeing where they lead.
Here are a few key takeaways from AIA25 that reflect our mission at Helix:
- Sustainability is at the forefront. Architects are seeking materials that meet green building standards and have a lifespan of decades. Helix’s 30-year color-coated metals are built to deliver.
- Design flexibility is essential. Our wide range of color and texture options gives architects the creative freedom to bring bold ideas to life.
- Performance is non-negotiable. With a growing focus on energy efficiency and long-term durability, Helix products meet today’s challenges and tomorrow’s standards.
AIA25 was a week full of big ideas, meaningful connections, and fresh energy. We left Boston inspired and ready for what’s next, not just for Helix but for the design community as a whole.
If we didn’t get the chance to talk at the event, we’d still love to connect. Reach out to our team for product samples and project support or to start a conversation about how we can help bring your vision to life.
